The Andy Warhol Museum
Setting up shop at the The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this coming weekend is a 20 year retrospective exhibition of work by L.A artist and man behind OBEY, Shepard Fairey. Tracing the artist’s work way back before his famed red, white and blue “Hope” image for the Obama campaign, two decades long of selected work in a myriad of medium ranging from canvas to illustration, screen prints, wood and metal will be on display from Oct 18 to Jan 31, 2010. Also, this Saturday marks the opening reception of the exhibition, and Fairey himself will be giving a talk from 6pm-7pm, after which an opening reception party featuring DJ Z-TRIP will be taking over the museum space. Another worthy event to note down in your calendar if you can make it out to Pittsburgh this weekend!
