Vans Vault looks to be promising in ‘09. From the Takas to these new Rick Griffin’s, Vault is showing us some dope shoes. Rick Griffin is known for his artwork on rock posters in the 1960s. With the impact Griffin had on the rock world, Vans decided to pay a tribute to him with a pack of shoes in remembrance of his passing. The pack consists of a Sk8 Hi, a No Skool 2 Mid, 2 pairs of Old Skools, and a Slip On. The pack also comes with a tee as well. The detail on these shoes is pretty amazing. Griffin’s artwork is featured on the side panels of the shoe, the inner lining and tongue and the sole of the shoe. The shoes also feature a Van Doren sole, which is always a nice touch to a pair of Vans.
